Diane Charles: Accomplished Nonprofit Leader and Film Producer

Diane Charles is a multifaceted professional with extensive experience in both the nonprofit sector and the entertainment industry.

Nonprofit Leadership

Diane has a proven track record as a nonprofit leader, having served as the Executive Director of ALIVE! from 2014 to 2019 and SCAN of Northern Virginia from 1999 to 2010.1 In these roles, she demonstrated effective community collaboration, genuine relationship-building, staff support and coaching, and sound administration skills. During her tenure at SCAN, the organization grew from a staff of three to eleven, and the number of volunteers tripled.1

Diane's contributions to the nonprofit sector have been recognized, as she was named an Alexandria Living Legend in 2016.1

Film Production

In addition to her nonprofit work, Diane is also an accomplished film producer, actress, and writer.2 She is currently the CEO, Executive Producer, and Development Executive at Intelligent Life Productions (d/b/a Blue Feather Productions), a position she has held since 2007.3

Diane has produced several films, including Jungle Cry (2022) and The Choices We Make.2 She is also known for her work as a co-executive producer and executive producer on the TV series Web Therapy from 2008 to 2012.6

With over fifteen years of entertainment industry experience, Diane has been recognized for her work, including an Emmy nomination.4 She also serves as an Advanced Acting Coach and Teacher at the studio.5
