Dhruv Patel-Tupper, Ph.D. is a plant biologist and biotechnologist who completed his doctorate in plant biology at the University of California, Berkeley.16 He previously earned his bachelor's degree in plant and biological sciences from Cornell University.15
Dr. Patel-Tupper's research focuses on photoprotection and molecular repair from high-light damage in plants and algae.1 He has worked on improving high-light tolerance and photosynthetic efficiency in crops.1 His work has been published in prestigious journals, including Plant Physiology and Science Advances.12
Currently, Dr. Patel-Tupper is an AAAS Science & Technology Policy Fellow working at the National Science Foundation (NSF).37 He is involved in emerging technologies and is dedicated to scaling scientific innovations for a more sustainable world.8
