Senior Project Manager

Responsible for the full release and implementation of Customer Assisted Services (CAS), managing a budget of $6 million and a team of 40.

 Delivering web analytics functionality to capture and report customer behavior data.

Managed the Utility Service Program, a new business initiative within South Pacific, involving the installation of infrastructure across Newington (NWI) and Global Switch (GSU) data centers. The program aimed to deliver shared and private cloud capabilities and establish infrastructure at two data centers with minimal configuration for onboarding new clients. Managed a budget of $30 million and a team of 40. 

Key projects included:
 Installing data center infrastructure at Global Switch and Newington Data Centre, including network, storage, servers, and VMware systems.
 Transitioning and transforming clients like MMG, Elders, Leighton Holdings, VicRoad, Origin Energy, and DoHA onto the cloud environment, providing over 300 physical or virtual servers.
 Establishing Point-to-Point (P2P) DWDM communication links between data centers.
 Achieved the establishment of two data centers within an aggressive timeframe of 3 months, transitioning high-profile clients to the cloud within 2 months.

Program and Project Manager

Managed the ICT Network Infrastructure program as part of the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Strategy, which identified key initiatives requiring investment in Gold Coast City Council’s ICT infrastructure to meet future demands. Managed a budget of $8.8 million and a team of 27. 

Key responsibilities included:
o Facilitating the procurement process for telecommunication services (mobile, data, landline, and internet) through Expression of Interest (EOI) and Request for Proposal (RFT).
o Conducting network infrastructure risk assessments and implementing mitigation strategies for at-risk network infrastructure.
o Implementing Citrix solution (application virtualization using Citrix XenApps and XenDesktop) across 24 low-bandwidth sites.
o Deploying MPLS (Multi-Protocol Level Switching) across the Council network.
o Managing the migration of telecommunications services to new vendors.
o Leading the end-to-end procurement processes, including product selection, and managing customer and vendor engagement throughout the project lifecycle.

City of Gold Coast

AAPT is Australia's third-largest telecommunications company and part of the Telecom New Zealand Group. They operate their own national voice and data network, offering a range of local and long-distance voice, mobile, data, and internet solutions for residential, business, government, and wholesale customers. 

Successfully delivered various high-value, high-impact strategic network engineering initiatives, including:
o Upgrade of EWSD from version 14 to version 17 at 4 exchange sites across Australia.
o Implementation of Traffic Management Control system (aka call management) for AAPT and Commonwealth Bank of Australia (CBA).
o Consolidation and Rationalization of CISCO TACACS.
o Transition and Rationalization of radio network in rural (SWARH) Victoria.
o Telstra Interconnect Migration.
o Implementation of Google Earth and Maps Applications for AAPT.

AAPT

NSW Businesslink Pty Ltd (State Government) is a provider of shared corporate services, delivering solutions in Information Technology, Finance, Human Resources, and Business Support to its clients, including Housing NSW, Department of Ageing, Disability and Home Care (DADHC), and Department of Community Services (DoCS).

Managed the Transition and Rationalisation of Data Centers project with a budget of $8 million and a team of 45. The objective was to establish additional data center space by acquiring new floor space at Fujitsu Data Centre and Global Switch Data Centre, using PRINCE2 Project Management methodology. Key responsibilities included:
 Managing the design and establishment of data center infrastructure, including layout, power and cooling, floor planning, and the implementation of IT Services relocation.
 Coordinating with consulting engineers, operational/support teams, vendors, and service providers.
 Overseeing the financial management of the project.
 End-to-end management of the RFP process, vendor selection, contract negotiation, and vendor management.

Achievements:
 Operated proficiently in a highly reactive and politicized environment, requiring extensive lobbying, proactive communications, and the preparation of highly technical content with clarity.
 Successfully established a strategic framework to support the successful transition of data centers.

 Implementation of OrgPlus Application (Oracle 11i based).
 Upgraded CISCO Internet Protocol Contact Center (IPCC) and CallManager, and implemented Unity voicemail refresh from version 4.0 to 5.0.

Computer Sciences Corporation Australia is a leading global consulting, systems integration, and outsourcing company. Worked with clients such as the Department of Immigration and Citizenship (DIAC Canberra), OTIS (the Elevator Company), Financial Services Group, and CSC Internal.

Data Centre Relocation and Consolidation:
Budget: $17.6 million
Duration: 6 months
Objective: To relocate mainframe processing for the Financial Services Group (FSG) from the CSC Data Centre in San Diego (USA) to the CSC Data Centre in Melbourne (Australia).
Responsibilities:
 Managed telecommunications carriers, hardware vendors, and operational/support teams.
 Oversaw procurement management for Australia and the US, as well as financial management of the project.
 Effectively communicated with all levels of stakeholders, management, and third-party suppliers.
 Developed detailed testing and cut-over plans and performed dress rehearsals/migration.
Achievements:
 Successfully migrated 42 Financial Services clients to the Melbourne, Australia data center.
 Completed the transformation/relocation on schedule and within budget, with no impact on FSG operations.

COMET Application Installation:
 Project involved the implementation of a web front end to interface directly with the Quickcomm application. COMET is the Communications Order Management and Expense Tracking system.
Responsibilities:
 Managed stakeholder input within an agile application development method (object-oriented, incremental, iterative, and UML-focused).
 Prepared the Project Definition and set the overall project plan/strategy.
 Managed project baselines and all approved changes.
 Installed the new COMET development application on the production server.
 Managed installation of required hardware, network connection, firewall rules, DMZ, pilot, and user acceptance testing.

Computer Sciences Corporation

Managed the Primary School Reporting System project to ensure that all Catholic primary schools within the Parramatta diocese met the Commonwealth requirements as described in the 'School Assistance Regulations 2005'. 

Key responsibilities included:
o Successfully designing, developing, testing, training, and rolling out the new reporting system to the 53 primary schools within the Parramatta Diocese.
o Managed the development of the new report system on Microsoft SharePoint Portal Server 2003, integrated with Staff NET (CEO intranet). This system allowed teachers to complete their reports online, provided management tools for principals (progress reports, online review, etc.), and delivered reporting information for systemic analysis.
