Tun Yong Yap is a journalist with Optimatic's e27, where he delves into the latest tech and investments in the Southeast Asia startup ecosystem. As a freelance writer with Snap Innovations, he writes about the intersection of tech and finance, including decentralised finance (DeFi) and cryptocurrencies. Passionate about growing the youth entrepreneurship scene in Singapore, he volunteers as a content manager at EDGE, the youth wing of ACE, and also started an interview series with local young founders to share about their journeys. He is also an entrepreneur, having co-founded CodeBud, an on-demand and affordable Q&A platform for novice coders. Tun Yong Yap has a background in the Singapore Armed Forces and holds a GCE A Level (Integrated Programme) from Hwa Chong Institution.
