Devin Finzer is an American entrepreneur and technology executive who co-founded and serves as the CEO of OpenSea, the world's largest marketplace for non-fungible tokens (NFTs).12
Born in 1990, Finzer grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area and graduated from Brown University in 2013 with a degree in Computer Science and Mathematics.3 During his time at Brown, he demonstrated his entrepreneurial spirit by co-creating CourseKick, a social search engine for university course registration.3
Career Highlights
After graduating, Finzer worked as a software engineer at Pinterest from August 2013 to March 2015.4 He then co-founded Claimdog, a personal finance app that was later acquired by Credit Karma.2 At Credit Karma, Finzer served as an Engineering Manager from June 2016 to December 2017.4
In December 2017, inspired by the release of CryptoKitties, Finzer co-founded OpenSea with Alex Atallah.2 The company has since become a unicorn, raising significant venture capital and achieving a valuation of $13.3 billion in January 2022.3
