Devin Berghorst

Assistant Dean of Students at University of Michigan

Devin Berghorst is the Interim Assistant Dean of Students and Senior Case Manager for Student Support Services at the University of Michigan. In his role as Interim Assistant Dean, he focuses on campus climate, student experience, and supervises various campus climate initiatives. As the Senior Case Manager, Devin provides support services to students in crisis and oversees evaluation efforts. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Psychology and Secondary Education from Hope College, a Master's degree in Higher Education from the University of Michigan, and a PhD in Educational Leadership from Eastern Michigan University.

Devin's professional background includes serving as the Assistant Director of Greek Life, Interim IFC Advisor/Graduate Assistant, Resident Director, and Communications Advisor at various organizations. He has also worked as a JV Assistant Baseball Coach and in roles in training and communications. Devin's research interests revolve around fraternities and sororities from an organizational perspective.

Outside of work, Devin enjoys sports and is a passionate fan of Marvel, How I Met Your Mother, and Game of Thrones. He is happily married to Liz and is a proud father to his son, Grayson, and a Golden Retriever named Ripley.
