While at GA I completed 400+ hours in the User Experience Design Immersive course, to learn how to approach user-centric design principals through a dynamic and collaborative learning experience that helped me learn by doing. I was able to develop a solid foundation at rapid development by utilizing an adaptive design process by completing five lean UX projects, while working with peers and mentors to solidify, develop and apply the following, while creating and validating solutions through diverse research practices and UX principles.

User Experience Design Immersive

I Worked with the founder to assist in furthering the research and development for a facet of their software. I was responsible for helping find insights for practical application as well as help optimize the User Interface. Provided Qualitative and Quantitative data to help validate the potential solutions. I hosted user tests as well and provided groundwork for future implementation.

Had to be a go getter with a sense of urgency. I had to quickly and creatively solve problems in a very short timeframe on install days if problems occurred. I had to negotiate on behalf of clients to match their desires with their budgets. Had to plan and organize venues deliveries and workers to get all aspects of an event executed in a specific timeframe and on time. Had to anticipate problems and set up back up plans as well as the best case scenarios. I had to ensure my events went off smoothly and efficiently.

My internship as a Content Coordinator with Let There Be Dragons, taught me how to set production schedules, manage meetings, sell ideas to an investor and get people involved to bring ideas to life.

Some daily Duties were:

Processing, writing, and editing consumer content for Web site, Publications and Digital Extensions.

Executing on Social Media strategy, including, but not limited to, Facebook posts and Twitter feeds.

Enter and manage content in the Web site content management system.

Manage the distribution of posts and publications.

Interface with various people of interest regarding content submission to Web site and Publications.

I earned a B.A. in Advertising. I was a Writer, Director and Producer of student films and commercials. I have worked every position on set and post-production. I learned to utilize resources and developed my creative problem solving and thinking skills. I also developed and implemented strategic communication solutions to enable businesses to attain their marketing and communication objectives.

As a business owner I had to empathize with clients to truly understand what they wanted, so I would be able to articulate that into a real product. I also had to create an experience for them that was pleasant and help them feel comfortable with my company and team. I would also manage client expectations by communicating clearly, helping me to control and produce projects in a very efficient manner and deliver unique perspectives to exceed expectations.

Provided appropriate swimming instruction for students, including therapy to improve muscle tone, strength and overall well being of the student. Was certified in First Aid and life saving techniques for infants to adults. Volunteered to train and oversee participants in the special olympics.

Purchasing and procurement, shipping and receiving, and issuing of equipment, tools, consumable items or anything else obtained through the Naval Supply System

Supervised up to 35 sailors, distributed assignments, provided training to ensure qualification of necessary certifications and attended various “A” and “C” schools to earn ratings for advancement and training purposes 

Assisted in maintaining records utilizing automated system and distribution of an over 11 million dollar budget for each fiscal year 

Deployed to Florida, Thailand, Antarctica, New Zealand, Japan, China, Greece, Korea, Guatemala, Italy, Croatia, New Orleans, Iraq, Kuwait, Sri Lanka, and France performing shipboard operation which consisted of managing and placement of heavy cargo as well as supervising a team of sailors in sometimes severe conditions as well as the above mentioned duties and other assignments as required.
