Derrick Tang
Venture Capital for the State of California
Derrick Tang is a Manager at the Bay Area Air Quality Management District (BAAQMD), where he leads the Technology Implementation Office. He has been instrumental in launching various initiatives, including the agency's first loan program aimed at promoting climate technologies.12
Before his current role, Derrick founded and led the Climate Investments team at BAAQMD, focusing on developing programs to support clean energy entrepreneurs. He has also worked as an investment associate at Horsley Bridge Partners and served as a lecturer on entrepreneurship at the Instituto Tecnologico de Buenos Aires.1
