Highlights
I've been hanging out on the 🦋 for a few days. I'm cautiously optimistic about it. So far, it has felt like a calmer place.
I don't actually disagree in principle with the X stance on free speech and the bias toward non-suppression. But the algorithm of late has not been serving me what I want.
My "job to be done" here is to hang out with my industry compatriots, and encourage / be encouraged by other builders doing interesting things in the trenches. I'm generally not here to engage in political debates or trolling "the other side", but this is what I feel like the X algo wants to happen ad nauseam (at least for the moment).
Hopefully 🦋 will embrace a similar stance on permitting a diversity ideas + democratized fact checking (ala Community Notes), with the added twist of more algorithmic feed choice to stay on preferred topic! And hopefully X will keep improving their feeds.
Latest 🤯 moment with AI: I asked it to convert a settings icon from using a <mask> (to cut the center hole) to only using paths, and it just...did it. https://t.co/HnwmytWcaL
