Derrick Chen is a seasoned entrepreneur, investor, and startup advisor with over 15 years of experience building and leading teams in software and internet companies. He has a strong focus on crafting competitive strategies, revenue growth initiatives, turnarounds, financial strategy, and business execution. Derrick has held various leadership positions, including COO of ServiceChannel, a leading SaaS facilities management platform for retail and restaurant chains, where he led strategic growth initiatives resulting in the successful sale of the business to Bayard Capital Group. Prior to this, he turned around Workspeed from near closure to become the leading SaaS real estate platform and arranged its sale to strategic buyer MRI Software. Derrick's experience also includes serving as Managing Director at Rare Ventures, co-founder and CEO at skedge.me, President at EvolutionIQ, CEO at Workspeed Management LLC, and General Partner at Rare Medium Group Inc. He has a degree in AB from Harvard College and attended Suffield Academy.
