Derek Scott

Derek Scott is a highly educated professional with a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Physiological Science (Medicine) from the University of Aberdeen. He holds a PG Cert in Therapeutics/Clinical Pharmacy with Distinction from Robert Gordon University and a Bachelor's Degree in Biomedical Sciences (Physiology) with 1st class Honors and a Prize for Physiology/Biomedical Sciences from the University of Aberdeen.

Derek Scott has a strong academic background, having studied at Millburn Academy. He currently serves as a Professor of Physiology & Pharmacology Education at the University of Aberdeen. Previously, he held the position of Education & Teaching Theme Lead for the Physiological Society of Great Britain at The Physiological Society.

In his career, Derek Scott has held various academic positions, including Senior Lecturer (Scholarship) in Integrative Physiology & Pharmacology, Senior Teaching Fellow in Biomedical Science, Teaching Fellow Grade II in Biomedical Sciences, and Wellcome Teaching Fellow in Biomedical Sciences, all at the University of Aberdeen.
