Derek Fleming is a seasoned Real Estate/ Urban Development Executive with a track record of spearheading significant projects and overseeing public-private undertakings in economically challenged neighborhoods in various major US cities.

With a proven ability to lead teams of over 85 professionals spanning diverse disciplines and manage a $40 million P&L, Fleming has successfully navigated deals totaling more than $600 million throughout all stages of real estate development.

His skill set encompasses deal structuring, negotiations, capital procurement, business development for both profit and non-profit entities, site planning, supervising cross-functional teams, fostering community engagement, and delivering high-impact executive presentations.

Fleming's areas of expertise include market research, team coordination, business strategy, project presentations, credit evaluation, government relations, community engagement, and board approval processes.

He holds a BA in Political Economy and International Business from the University of California, Berkeley, and pursued a Masters in Business Administration specializing in Real Estate, Entrepreneurship, Finance, and Management & Strategy at Northwestern University's Kellogg School of Management. Additionally, he studied Finance and Strategy for another MBA at the Indian School of Business.
