Derek Ferguson

Derek Ferguson is the Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) at TIAA, a role he assumed on October 4, 2021. In this position, Ferguson is responsible for leading the evolution of TIAA's strategy, planning, and delivering strategic enterprise initiatives. He also oversees global corporate services and the operations of the Office of the Chief Executive Officer.12

Before joining TIAA, Ferguson served as the interim Chief Executive Officer and Chief Operating Officer at the Robin Hood Foundation, New York's largest poverty-fighting organization. His career includes significant roles such as Chief Growth Officer and Chief Financial Officer at Combs Enterprises, where he managed various business ventures for Sean "Diddy" Combs. He also held positions as COO at Revolt Media & TV and VP of Finance and Operations for BMG Special Products.12

Ferguson holds a Bachelor's degree in Economics from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and an MBA from Harvard University. He is actively involved in community service, serving on boards such as Riverside Hawks Basketball, Capital Prep Schools, and New York Covenant Development Corporation.12
