Dennis Todey

Dennis Todey is the Director of the USDA Midwest Climate Hub, located in Ames, Iowa. He has held this position since 2016 and is responsible for overseeing the hub's efforts to provide actionable climate information tailored for agricultural practices across an eight-state region in the Midwest and Corn Belt.126

Todey is a native of Iowa and holds both a Bachelor of Science and a PhD in Meteorology from Iowa State University. His work focuses on helping agriculture adapt to climate variability and change through the development of science-based, region-specific information and technologies.124

In addition to his role at the Midwest Climate Hub, Todey is recognized as an agricultural climatologist and remains actively engaged in discussions related to weather and climate impacts on agriculture.35
