Dennis Savic

Dennis Savic is the Founder and CEO of Savic Motorcycles, a pioneering company in the electric motorcycle industry based in Australia. His journey into electric vehicle design began during his engineering studies at the University of Western Australia (UWA), where he started developing his first electric motorcycle chassis in 2014. This initial project evolved from a university thesis into a significant venture that laid the groundwork for Savic Motorcycles.12

By 2017, while working as a weight attribute engineer at Ford, Savic collaborated with designer Dave Hendroff to create the first sketches of an electric café racer motorcycle. This model was designed to accommodate a large lithium-ion battery and deliver impressive performance metrics, including over 200Nm of torque.1 In November 2018, the prototype of their C-Series motorcycle was unveiled at the Melbourne Moto Expo, marking a significant milestone for both Savic and the Australian electric vehicle market.1

Under Savic's leadership, the company has experienced rapid growth, expanding its workforce fivefold and successfully launching multiple prototypes. Notably, in 2022, the C-Series received official approval for road use in Australia and was recognized as the most innovative new product design in Victoria at the Premier’s Design Awards.12 Dennis emphasizes teamwork and innovation, crediting his talented team for their contributions to developing advanced technologies such as their custom ABS system and IoT solutions for motorcycles.1
