Dennis Addo

Dennis Addo MD, MPH is a physician, entrepreneur, and innovator with a passion for improving healthcare, particularly in Africa.13 He is the Co-Founder and CEO of Wala Digital Health, a company he started in August 2019 while at Harvard and MIT.3 Wala Digital Health is building a digital platform to revolutionize blood donation, transfusions, and delivery, starting in Africa where blood shortages can be fatal.34

Dr. Addo's professional background includes:

1. Founder and CEO of Claron Health International, a digital and innovative health company delivering medical and preventive health services globally.13

2. Co-founder of the Bisa Health Application, which played a crucial role during the West Africa Ebola crisis from 2014 to 2016.1

3. Board Member of the National Health Insurance Authority (NHIA) in Ghana since 2017.13

4. Former Senior Medical Officer with the United Nations, serving in peacekeeping operations in Lebanon, Côte d'Ivoire, and Liberia.1
