Deniz Armani

Deniz Armani is the Director of Engineering at SMP Engineering Inc., a position he has held since May 2017. He has an extensive background in engineering, beginning his career as a Senior Technical Staff member at HRL Laboratories from June 2005 to June 2006. Following that, he worked at Xponent Photonics in a similar role until September 2007, where he was responsible for managing production systems and designing equipment. He then joined Glenair, first as a Senior Scientist and later as the Director of Research and Development, until his transition to SMP Engineering Inc..12

Armani holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign (1996-2000) and a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from Caltech (2000-2005) .16 His professional focus includes new product development and the design and prototyping of solutions for challenging environments, particularly in the defense, space, and aerospace sectors .34

In addition to his engineering roles, Deniz Armani is involved in mentoring and coaching, notably leading a robotics team in Southern California .5
