Delene Porter

Delene W. Porter is the Chief Operating Officer at the Georgia Heirs Property Law Center.12 She brings over 15 years of experience in nonprofit management and community development to her role.1 In her position, Porter leverages her expertise in fundraising, budgeting, strategic planning, and research to increase the Center's impact.1

Prior to joining the Georgia Heirs Property Law Center, Porter served as the founding CEO & President of the Athens Area Community Foundation.1 During her tenure there, she successfully raised over $6 million in community assets and facilitated more than $1.5 million in grants during the Foundation's start-up period.1

Porter is based in Athens, Georgia.34 Her educational background includes studies at The University of Georgia.2 In her current role, she is involved in various aspects of the Center's operations, including:

As a key member of the leadership team, Porter works alongside the Executive Director, Skipper G. StipeMaas, to further the Center's mission of addressing heirs property issues and promoting sustainable community revitalization.18
