Delaina Haslam

Delaina Haslam is a highly experienced French and Spanish to English translator with a background in media, editorial, and publishing spanning over 15 years.

Delaina transitioned from her role as deputy chief sub-editor at BMI Research to pursue her passion for translation, leveraging her fluency in French and Spanish along with her English language skills.

She holds a Chartered Institute of Linguists' (CIOL) Diploma in Translation (DipTrans) and is recognized as an Associate Member of the CIOL and a Career Affiliate Member of the Institute of Translation and Interpreting.

Specializing in various fields including sociology, academic writing, journalism, media & marketing, arts, entertainment & travel, business, and literature, Delaina offers translation services and excels in freelance editing, proofreading, and writing.

Her writing portfolio includes contributions to esteemed publications such as le cool London, InMadrid magazine, Time Out Madrid, and the Yorkshire Post. Delaina is also working on a novel, which earned her the Sheffield Off the Shelf 'Novel Slam' award in 2016. Delaina's educational background comprises an Erasmus study at L'Université d'Haute Bretagne, Rennes II, and a Bachelor of the Arts in English and French from The University of Sheffield.
