Kai Zeng is a research professional and Post-Doctoral Fellow who has over eight years of research, development, and teaching experience. He specializes in multimedia visual communication, particularly in image/video compression, processing, and subjective quality assessments (Quality of Experience). Kai is a Ph.D. graduate in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Waterloo and completed his Master's degree in Electrical Engineering at Xidian University. He is the Co-Founder and Research Lead at SSIMWAVE Inc. and previously worked at Visionary Semiconductor and BlackBerry as a Research Intern. In addition, he worked as a Research/Teaching Assistant at the University of Waterloo.
