Deepti Ghadiyaram

Deepti Ghadiyaram is a highly motivated researcher in the fields of image and video processing, computer vision, and machine learning. She is currently a doctoral candidate at The University of Texas at Austin, where she works with Dr. Alan Bovik in the Laboratory of Image and Video Engineering. Deepti's primary focus is on blind image and video quality assessment, and she aims to extend the state-of-the-art towards more real-world image distortions. She also strives to build human-in-the-loop systems and employ perceptual quality metrics to improve some of the existing computer vision techniques.

Before that, Deepti received her Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from the International Institute of Information Technology in Hyderabad, India. She then went on to complete her Masters and Doctor of Philosophy degrees in Computer Science at The University of Texas at Austin.

Deepti has extensive experience in the tech industry and has worked as a Research Scientist at Facebook, Research Intern at Google, and Research Intern at Microsoft Research. She has also worked as a Software Engineer Intern at Symphony Commerce (formerly sneakpeeq) and LinkedIn. Additionally, Deepti has served as a Graduate Research Assistant at the Laboratory for Image & Video Engineering and Texas Advanced Computing Center (TACC).

Furthermore, Deepti has experience in the non-profit sector, having co-founded Team Samvedana, which aimed at bridging the information gap between donors, volunteers, and NGOs.

Deepti's entrepreneurial spirit and her passion for learning from and contributing to collaborative efforts make her an asset to any team.
