    Deepa Krishnan also serves as the Head of Abhyudaya, a non-profit organization focusing on education and livelihood for over 500 students from low-income areas in Mumbai, receiving recognition for innovative practices in quality education.

    With a keen interest in rural development, Deepa has led initiatives in building check dams and rainwater harvesting structures in villages near Mumbai, along with exploring projects to enhance rural incomes through diverse activities like poultry farming and micro-loans.

    Passionate about traditional arts, crafts, and textiles, Deepa is actively involved in promoting these sectors by being a member of the National Taskforce for Handlooms and establishing the Abhyudaya Community Initiative to empower women in textile crafts.

    Prior to her current ventures, Deepa Krishnan accumulated 18 years of corporate experience in the financial services industry, specializing in web-based platforms, and managing projects globally for esteemed companies like Citigroup, Morgan Stanley, and Barclays Bank.

    Deepa holds a degree in Commerce from Mumbai University and a business degree from the Indian Institute of Management, Calcutta, showcasing a well-rounded academic and professional background that combines business acumen with a passion for social impact.
