His career spans over three decades in the transport, logistics, and travel sectors, where he excelled in roles leading to finance directorships and his current position as a managing director for a division of DFDS, overseeing 1800 employees.

In 2005, Declan established his own accountancy practice to offer his comprehensive accountancy skills and extensive business knowledge to local businesses, focusing on personalized and top-quality service.

Alongside his practice, he serves as the chairman of a major PLC pension scheme, a role he has diligently fulfilled for the past 14 years.
