Debra Davis

Debra Davis is a highly experienced communications and public affairs professional with over 35 years of expertise in government and the private sector.

She has a strong background in developing and implementing communication strategies, public diplomacy, change management, internal communications, emergency planning, and campaign planning.

Debra has served as the Director of Public Affairs and Communications for Birmingham City Council, where she worked on a variety of issues related to redevelopment, regeneration, and partnership collaboration.

As a Board Member of the Arab International Women's Forum, Debra has been a vocal advocate for women's participation in various sectors, organizing conferences to promote equality and leadership among women in the Middle East.

Returning to Canada, she founded Thousand Islands Festivals & Events to promote Gananoque as a tourist destination through diverse cultural, culinary, and sporting events.

Currently based in Ottawa, Debra has held roles at organizations like Status of Women Canada and Experiences Canada, focusing on engagement strategies against gender-based violence and managing youth exchanges.
