Deborah Thomas

Deborah Thomas is a seasoned business leader with a wealth of experience in risk management, compliance, and governance. She has successfully spearheaded rapid turnarounds and established new departments from scratch in medium to large global organizations, with solid finance and commercial expertise. With a Master's degree in Land Economy from the University of Cambridge and ACA certification from the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW), Deborah has held several senior positions throughout her career. She currently serves as Director of Risk at Euromoney Institutional Investor, having previously held the Head of Risk, Cyber Security & Corporate Governance position at Collinson Group and the Group Head of Compliance and Risk Management at Global Fashion Group. She has also held senior positions at Reed Business Information, Diageo, KPMG Audit, and PwC, among others. Throughout her extensive career, Deborah has developed expertise in commercial enterprise risk management, compliance, ethics, and integrity leadership, establishing and running group insurance programs, strategy development and execution, global program delivery, policy and process management, commercial negotiation, and public speaking.
