Bitchin' Babkas stemmed from the simple question  "Wtf even is a babka?" Well, for those who may not know, it is a Polish Jewish sweet dough that is traditionally filled with chocolate or cinnamon. Though here at Bitchin’ Babkas, the limit does not exist. Baklava, Sugar Cookie, Hot Coco, and Birthday Cake are just a few of the decadent twists on this swirled baked bread. Founded in 2020 by De'Asia Collins is a New York native and an at home baker that has a great desire to bake things people will enjoy more. Located in Yonkers, NY, our Etsy page allows us to deliver delicious Jewish delicacies to all 50 states (yes! That does include Hawaii and Alaska) and pre-order pick up for local New Yorkers who are looking for their fix.

Executive Assistant to COO & VP of Engineering

Acted as the Executive Assistant to the Chief of Staff and CEO. Paying attention to detail to calendar management, travel arragements (hotel, flights and car service), personal assistance and in-office operations.

Streamlined operations, resulting in increased office productivity. Oversaw food inventory and office supply purchases, budget management, point of person for vendors, in/out-of office meetings and lunch coordination (both in and out of office).

Worked alongside the Director of Marketing and Events by brainstorming and executing external company events (i.e. Grammy's Party and Mommy Points acquisition).

Assisted with event planning, including associated travel and logistical arrangements for TPG executive, editorial and social media team.

Oversaw inventory and office supply purchases. Managed office supplies, vendors, organization and upkeep.

Managed office site relocation, working hand and hand with the Chief of Staff to accomplish goals in a timely manner.

Planned and coordinated logistics and materials for staff events for a 40+ employee team. Increasing the morality of the office by 50% in under a year as a result of company-wide outings.

Assisted with the on-boarding process of more than 15 new hires in 2018.

Managed the Chief of Surgery’s complex and frequently changing travel arrangements and coordinated the pre-planning of trips.

Conducted research to prepare, gather and proof briefing materials, agendas and decks for all executive-level meetings.

Ordered all office supplies including ink cartridges, toner, and paper.

Assisted the Department of Surgery Coordinating Manager in administrative duties within the department, including HR work (credentialing of the staffs, recruitment, on-boarding new staff members), event management, and research and training programs.

Supervised day-to-day operations of the office, including ordering of office supplies.

Received and screened visitors and patients either via telephone or email. Increased the number of Emergency Room patient follow up appointments by 75%.

Executive Assistant/Assistant Coordinating Manager

Supervised the operation where I could utilize financial aspects of the operations of the   restaurant and workers. Handled and computed the register. Duties included facilities management, customer service and consultation on food preparation.

Supervised the operations of the dark room. Duties included dark room clean up, equipment checking and cleaning, knowledge of development chemicals and their use.

Supervised the operations of the photography studio where I utilized my knowledge in lighting equipment, procedures and break down of the studio. Duties included assigning and checking out equipment, studio clean up, and lighting break down.
