Deanna Lovesmith brings with her 25 years of experience in public education, having held various roles such as teacher, counselor, principal, and district administrator.
Her expertise lies in teaching and learning, professional development, gifted and talented programs, special education, career and technology education, federal programs, and district administration.
Currently serving as the Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum and Instruction at Belton ISD, Deanna has a strong background in school improvement and turnaround initiatives.
She is the former founding principal of Belton New Tech High, an Apple Distinguished school, and has presented for the Apple Education Series on best practices.
Deanna Lovesmith is also an author of an iBook that showcases educational excellence.
Her passion lies in supporting principals and teachers to deliver exceptional education for their students.
Deanna holds a Doctor of Education (EdD) in Educational Administration and Supervision from Texas A&M University, a Master's Degree in Educational Psychology from Baylor University, and a Bachelor's Degree in Education, also from Baylor University.
Her educational journey also includes studies in Educational Leadership and Administration at Tarleton State University.
Throughout her career, she has been part of prestigious organizations like Belton ISD, Connally ISD, and La Vega ISD, holding key positions such as Assistant Superintendent, Principal, Director of Curriculum, and Director of Special Programs.
