Dean Plumbley

Dean Plumbley is an accomplished computational scientist known for incorporating cutting-edge artificial intelligence and mathematical techniques into large-scale data applications. He possesses deep expertise in deep learning, with a specific focus on AI applications in medical research. With a background in using machine learning and molecular mechanics for drug design, protein-protein interaction modeling, and drug combination therapy design, Dean's skill set is diverse and specialized. Additionally, he has a wealth of experience in utilizing AI for image analysis, particularly in interpreting MRI, CT, and mammogram scans to identify anomalies. Dean is a proficient GPU programmer, fluent in languages such as C++, CUDA, OpenCL, Java, Python, and C#. He holds an impressive academic record, including a PhD in Computer Science from The University of Manchester, a Bachelor of Science in Pure Mathematics from The Open University, an MSc in Computational Biology & Bioinformatics from the University of Leeds, an MRes in Biomedical Research from the University of Liverpool, and a BSc(Hons) in Physiology, also from the University of Liverpool.
