Dean Bergman

Dean Bergman is a seasoned professional with an impressive background in aerospace engineering and business development. Currently serving as the Director of Business Development at Honeybee Robotics in Pasadena, CA, he brings a wealth of experience from his tenure at NASA Ames Research Center and other esteemed organizations. At NASA, Dean held roles such as Risk Manager, Education & Public Outreach lead for Resource Prospector, and a Postdoctoral Fellow specializing in autonomous structural health monitoring systems for space missions. His focus on spacecraft structural mechanics and deployable space structures led him to complete a PhD in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Southern California, where he also earned his MS in the same field. With a BSc(eng) in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Cape Town, Dean's expertise spans various areas including DTFM, autonomous SHM, and nonlinear FEM modeling of composite SMP space structures.
