Dean Fredrick Andal, born on October 23, 1959, is an American businessman and a prominent figure in the accounting and consulting industry. He currently serves as a Managing Director at PwC (PricewaterhouseCoopers), a position he has held since 2009. Prior to his tenure at PwC, Andal was a director at KPMG, LLP from 2002 to 2004. He is also known for founding and presiding over Andal Communications, a marketing company focused on banking and real estate.1
In addition to his business career, Andal has a notable political background. He began his public service as a member of the San Joaquin County Board of Education and later won a special election to the California State Assembly in 1991, representing a district that had not elected a Republican in over two decades. He was recognized for his conservative legislative record and served as the chief budget negotiator for the Assembly Republican Caucus. Andal was subsequently elected to the California Board of Equalization and served two terms as its chairman.1
Andal holds degrees from several institutions: a BA from the University of California, San Diego, an MA from the University of the Pacific, and an EdD from the University of Southern California. He resides in Stockton, California, with his wife Kari and their adult son Patrick.1
