Dr. Siva K. Balasubramanian has accumulated over four decades of experience as a manager, business educator, and academic administrator. He holds a Ph.D. in Marketing from University at Buffalo and studied BS in Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and MBA in Marketing from Osmania University. He has taught at several universities globally, including University of Iowa, University of Alberta, and Maastricht School of Management. Currently, he serves as the Harold L. Stuart Endowed Chair in Business at Illinois Institute of Technology, where he was previously the Deputy Vice Provost and Associate Dean, among other roles.
Dr. Balasubramanian's research interests focus on various interdisciplinary areas such as product placements, corporate social responsibility, social media, AI, and the marketing-finance interface. He has authored over 50 publications in leading journals in marketing, advertising, and other fields. His research has attracted national and international attention in both media and scholarly circles, and is widely cited by Social Sciences Citation Index and Google Scholar.
Dr. Balasubramanian's teaching expertise includes strategy, consumer behavior, marketing analytics, and AI. He also frequently leads business seminars for senior corporate executives in the US and abroad and serves as a business consultant to leading corporations and government agencies.
