Albert Pastrana is a highly skilled and experienced Head of Engineering and Certified Scrum Master with a background in web architecture, team creation and management. He has a strong technical skill set and proven leadership capabilities in managing high demanding environments. His expertise lies in Scala, PostgreSQL, Elasticsearch, Akka Streams, Spark, TypeScript, React, Docker, and more.

Pastrana has worked with many technologies and languages throughout his professional life, including Java, Ruby, html, and CSS to name a few. His Management Skills for IT Professionals in Organizations were honed at Fundació Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC), where he also studied Computer Science, Software Development at Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya and Official Master in Free and Open Source Software Technology at Universitat Oberta de Catalunya.

Pastrana currently holds the position of Head of Engineering (hands-on) at Intent HQ, where he works with agile methodologies and processes such as Scrum, Agile, Kanban, Continuous Integration, Continuous Delivery, TDD, and BDD. Prior to this, he has worked in various positions such as Software Development Manager at Bodog UK, Director of Software Development at Ludicus Contest, and Software Engineer at Viviance new education.
