administrative infrastructure. The Interim ED will implement recommendations from the agency’s
Administrative Assessment is responsible for the agency's day-to-day administrative operations and fundraising, including supervising up to five (5) employees.  The Interim ED is responsible to the Board of Directors, and reports to the Executive Committee of the Board. They will also work closely with the Chief Programs Officer, who reports to the Board.

ENTR 3340 - Innovation, Design, and Entrepreneurship
This course focuses on the process of innovation and design for entrepreneurial venture development. In this course, students learn to develop a persuasive structure to make innovative ideas attractive and defensible. Design is an essential step in transforming innovative ideas into marketplace reality. This course focuses on the use of design as a form of expression, communication, and the development of functional prototypes of innovative ideas potentially leading to entrepreneurial ventures. In this course, students are required to form multidisciplinary design teams. Students develop the knowledge, skills, and behaviors related to developing innovative ideas, design methodologies, and use of appropriate information, materials, tools, and technology for entrepreneurial ventures.

Good Work Austin (GWA) is a socially responsible community of local businesses in Austin invested in creating good jobs for all workers, ensuring a quality workplace, and supporting and amplifying the voices of like-minded businesses. We began as a group of businesses uniting to work with the Austin City Council to write Austin’s Paid Sick Leave ordinance, and we continue to work together on creating a supportive environment for employers who want to do the right thing for their employees, communities, the economy, and the environment.

Austin Young Chamber of Commerce

President and CEO

This was a short-term position, ending April 1 when the open enrollment period concluded. The purpose was to help Texans sign up for quality, affordable health care, register to vote, and sign on as supporters of Planned Parenthood. It was an entirely a non-profit, non-partisan campaign.

• Directly managed 28 staff in 5 main offices -- Fort Worth, Dallas, San Antonio, and two offices in Houston -- along with statewide staff.
• Provide oversight and quality control to over 300 total staff.
• Work as a liaison between local program staff, Planned Parenthood staff in Texas, and the national team in Washington, D.C.
• Pushed canvass operations from 30% capacity to 125% capacity within 3 weeks of being on the ground.
• Planned and executed multiple education and enrollment events across the state with organizational partners and agency officials in Houston, Dallas, and San Antonio.
• Trained and motivated organizing staff to reach goals with in 2 weeks of starting by instituting quality control and baseline metrics while also traveling to every location to shadow and evaluate operations.

Manage day to day operations. In charge of fundraising and strategy and focus of an organization tasked with communicating progressive values through out Texas. The organization helps build communication capacity for other progressive groups, does consistent research and polling, and advocates directly to Texans about issues facing our state.

Specifically:

• Direct 18 vendors on research, polling, media, mail, and printing.
• Manage an annual budget of over $250,000 and grew that budget at least 30% per year.
• Hired and supervise staff of 5 and serve as liaison between multiple boards, national affiliate, and state and national partners.
• Started with a base of 101 activists and supporters and grew our community to over 40,000 in 90% of the counties in Texas with an average engagement of 32% across all platforms.
• Successfully ran campaigns to increase public education funding by $300 million, prevent confederate flag from being added to state vanity license plates, fill judicial vacancies, avert fiscal cliff, and assisted in numerous state and local races.
• Train civic groups on best practices for media engagement, press strategy, online strategy, and framing.
• Develop and launch ongoing local, regional, and statewide media campaigns for issues, individuals, and partner groups.
• Presented to over 200 groups throughout Texas and the nation on a host of issues and topics about Progress Texas and our work. This includes the Open Societies Foundation, the White House, Senate Offices, local groups, rallies, coalitions, etc.

What we used to do for fun, we do for a living; creating tailored online communications and fundraising solutions for campaigns and causes.

We’re not concerned with the old way of doing things. We prefer what works. We’re not just political junkies, policy wonks, or wide-eyed optimists (although we’re flattered when we hear it). We’re concerned with crafting messages, creating a buzz and conveying it all in the most effective way possible.

Specifically:

• Created marketing, public relations, and branding strategies for BookSpring, business coalition on gambling (TAG), Lone Star Project, Back to Basics PAC, and the Texas Democratic Party.
• Campaigns include: Bill White for Governor, Linda Chavez Thompson for Lt. • Assisted two principals (and rockstars) in day-to-day management, trainings, staff development, and operations.
• Ran analytics, research, online marketing, white-page development, legislative strategy, and community engagement services.
