Michael Wehar

Michael Wehar is a dedicated individual with a profound passion for leadership, mentorship, and communication, currently serving as a Visiting Assistant Professor at Swarthmore College.

With a blend of academic excellence and practical experience, Michael holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Computer Science and Engineering from the University at Buffalo, a Master of Science (MS) in Mathematical Sciences from Carnegie Mellon University, and a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Mathematical Sciences from the same institution.

He has a diverse educational background and has also engaged in professional development, having studied at Mt. Lebanon High School and Startup School Online.

Michael's professional journey includes roles such as Creator and Software Developer at Word of The Hour, Software Consultant at WordReference.com, Assistant Professor of Instruction at Temple University, Part-time Instructor at the University of Pittsburgh, Computer Vision Programmer at CapSen Robotics, and Summer Research Intern at IBM, among others.

Furthermore, he has contributed as a Technical Evangelist Intern at Meed Inc, Adjunct Faculty at Rochester Institute of Technology, Teaching Assistant at the University at Buffalo (UB) and Carnegie Mellon University, and Research Assistant at Carnegie Mellon University.

His experience also encompasses being a Software Developer at Soglo Startup and engaging as a Teaching Assistant in various capacities at Carnegie Mellon University.
