Consulting to Blue Label on the IT systems of a newly acquired business. The retail business was in the process of being sold to a third party which required system integration, and an ongoing development of the IT strategy for the business.

Brought into the business as the CTO and responsible for overseeing and redesigning the company's  WAN network, connectivity and Hosting environment.
Role entailed consulting to the executive team about how the network would need to change in-order to ensure align the technical company's product to operate in a highly competitive environment.
Responsible for the appointment of the newly appointed technical team and company who would be responsible for the day to day operation of the business.

FISHWICKS PRINTERS

Working with the corporation's CEO and the executive team including the CFO and CMO as an IT strategist fulfilling the role of CIO, I was responsible for the strategy and execution of Hi Fi Corporation's IT projects in conjunction with JD Group's IT services. which included the national WAN, Interactive initiatives (website & mobile), In Store system and processes.

Responsible to consulting to the group for the migration of the HiFi Corporation website into eCommerce and creating a social media strategy.

2. Am I paying the right amount for the IT solutions ?

Defined the company’s yearly objectives creating a clear focus that allowed the company to identify an early gap in the market, resulting in the company becoming a strong solution provider to the neglected mid-sized company market.
- Implemented a new corporate strategy transforming the company from selling boxed-solutions, to providing complex consultation services to corporates throughout South Africa without increasing the company’s operational cost.
- Key to the strategy was negotiating with service providers for preferential rates and extraordinary service level agreements resulting in the company dominating based on price, quality and level of service.
- Responsible for the successful negotiation of a joint venture partnership to deploy technical Linux solutions deriving monthly recurring revenues without additional running costs.
- Swift Consulting took over the running and development of SwiftSMS business (info below),  to provide Mobile solutions and expand the range of services.
- Designed and implemented the company’s internal processes and systems
