Daniel Droog, a seasoned energy professional, has spent the majority of his career leading Chevron's global business development efforts for lower carbon and new energies. He has an impressive educational background, having studied law at Pepperdine School of Law, where he graduated summa cum laude, and Philosophy and Political Science at Dordt College.
Droog has a wealth of experience leading strategic planning, external engagement, and commercial incubation efforts that have resulted in the launch of Chevron New Energies in 2021. He also directs Chevron's global business development efforts for emerging opportunities in energy storage, geothermal, renewable feedstocks, fuels, gas and products, hydrogen, carbon capture, utilization and storage, offsets, and carbon trading.
Beyond his corporate responsibilities, Droog is an active member of the community and global energy industry, having served on several boards, including Carbon Clean and the Center for Houston's Future. He has also worked with organizations focused on education, economic development, innovation, and enabling those with special needs.
