Jay Qi is a multidisciplinary problem-solver with a strong background in data science, software development, and mechanical and aerospace engineering. With a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the California Institute of Technology, and a B.S.E with highest honors in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering from Princeton University, Jay's experiences span a wide range of industries and projects.

As a Senior Data Scientist at DrivenData and a former Data Science Technical Lead and Data Scientist at Uptake, Jay has experience in machine learning and data analysis. He has also worked as a Mechanical Engineering Intern at Jet Propulsion Laboratory and a Graduate Research Assistant and National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellow at the California Institute of Technology. At NASA, Jay designed a rover drill, and has also simulated fluid flow over wings in his previous work.

Jay's expertise in data analysis and software development, combined with his engineering background, allows him to approach problems using a unique perspective. He enjoys finding solutions to challenging problems and uses data, math, and code to drive results.
