Krishna Kumar is the founder and CEO of CropIn Technology, a Bangalore-based firm that provides farm management, monitoring, traceability, and analytics solutions to agribusinesses worldwide. Kumar studied Senior Secondary Mathematics and Statistics at St. Xavier's School in Hazaribag before earning a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Instrumentation and Electronics from Visvesvaraya Technological University.

His career began as a Graduate Engineer Trainee at General Electric before he worked as an IM Programmer and eventually a Senior Programmer at GE Consumer & Industrial. Kumar spent time in GE's Information Management Leadership Program at both GE Consumer & Industrial and GE Energy before founding CropIn Technology in August 2010.

CropIn utilizes a SaaS-based platform to provide agribusinesses with real-time insight on standing crop and projects, spanning large geographies and enabling clients to take corrective measures quickly. With a presence in 55+ countries and over 3 million farmers using its technology, CropIn promotes data-driven farming and aims to help farmers "grow more from less."
