Yuri Horowitz is a highly experienced tourism professional with over 20 years of experience in destination planning, development, and management. With a holistic approach to stakeholder engagement and destination stewardship, he excels in results-oriented leadership and is an expert in project management, destination strategy, and customer experience design. Yuri holds a Master's degree in Tourism Administration from The George Washington University and has earnt a certificate in Tourism and International Cooperation for Development from the United Nations World Tourism Organization - Themis Foundation. He has also studied at the University of Colorado at Boulder and UNSW. Yuri has worked and traveled in 86 countries throughout North and South America, Europe, Asia, Oceania, and Africa. He is proficient in multiple languages.

Yuri's professional experience is extensive, having held positions such as Cultural Heritage Tourism Program Manager at the Smithsonian Center for Folklife and Cultural Heritage, Senior Tourism Expert at the U.S. Department of State, and Senior Tourism Specialist at Solimar International. He has also served as a tourism consultant for various organizations, including the World Bank Group and Tourism Cares.
