Chris Coburn

Chris Coburn is the Chief Innovation Officer at Mass General Brigham, overseeing the commercial application of discoveries at Harvard University affiliates like Brigham and Women's Hospital and Massachusetts General Hospital.

With more than 30 years of experience, Mr. Coburn has led successful business development efforts resulting in over $160 million in commercialization revenue annually and the creation of more than 225 companies.

Before his current position, he was instrumental in founding Cleveland Clinic Innovations, where he facilitated the launch of 57 companies that raised over $700 million in equity financing.

Mr. Coburn's expertise extends beyond healthcare innovation, as seen in his roles at Battelle, the Ohio Department of Development, and as a Legislative Analyst at the National Institutes of Health (NIH).

He holds a Master's degree from The George Washington University and a Bachelor of Arts from John Carroll University, and has served on various corporate and community boards including Explorys, Autonomic Technologies, and the U.S. Enrichment Corporation.
