Scott Shane is a seasoned entrepreneur, investor, and leader. With an impressive background in technology startups, social media marketing, and mobile engineering, he brings a wealth of experience and expertise to any project he is involved in. He is the Founder and CTO of various companies, including Context Optional, a social media marketing firm that advised a range of prominent brands, including Chase, Disney, and Levi's. Efficient Frontier acquired the firm in 2011, and it was subsequently purchased by Adobe in 2012. At Adobe, he served as a Principal Scientist and managed a global team. He is currently working on Mobile (iOS) at Twitch and has previously worked on various projects related to Start-Up Investing and Recruiting at AngelList. In addition to his work in technology, he has authored a book titled Professional C++ and advised and invested in various startups. Scott holds a Ph.D. in Management from The Wharton School, an MSFS from Georgetown University, and studied history at Brown University. Outside of work, he serves on the Computer Science Undergraduate Teaching Advisory Committee at Stanford University and mentors at ffwd.org, an accelerator for non-profits.
