Bilingual lawyer and law professor A. Monroe-Sheridan is a prominent figure in the world of cross-border corporate and commercial business initiatives between Japanese and U.S. companies. Based in Tokyo, he has advised public and private companies of both countries in various international matters, including venture financings, cross-border mergers and acquisitions, and corporate governance, among others. In addition to his law practice, Reid also takes non-legal consulting engagements through Tokyo Nexus Limited, his consulting firm. He is an Associate Professor at Keio Law School, where he teaches courses on startup and venture law, American business law, international capital markets, and drafting international agreements, among others. Reid holds a J.D. from Harvard Law School and a B.A. in Japanese Literature from Carleton College.
