Iris Hammel, a dedicated problem solver and lifelong learner with a passion for education, entrepreneurship, and community economic development, is making major impact in the South Bend - Elkhart region. After completing her Business Administration degree at the University of Wisconsin, Hammel earned a teaching license in Business Education from Viterbo University in Wisconsin.
Hammel co-founded Connected Classrooms and TeachMe3d.org, which led to her starting a non-profit organization called RISE. She served as the Executive Director of IDEA Week 2020, and is currently a member of the Regional Entrepreneurship Board for Startup South Bend - Elkhart. Hammel’s areas of expertise include entrepreneurship, mentoring, non-profit leadership, public speaking, teaching, team building, curriculum design, higher education, training, educational technology, leadership, entrepreneurship development, and emotional intelligence training.
