Kirk Lane is an accomplished law enforcement expert with more than 20 years of experience under his belt. With a passion for the use of force and self-defense tactical training, Mr. Lane has served as an active member of the Johnson County Regional Police Academy as an adjunct instructor in defense tactics. His skills span a wide range of techniques, including close-quarter strategies (CQS), hand-to-hand combat, Taser defense, civilian protection, baton training, ground fighting, neck restraints, and more. Mr. Lane has further honed his skills through several training programs, including FBI CSLEEDS, KPASS, and Olathe South.

Throughout his career, Mr. Lane has served in several roles, including as a patrolman at the Bonner Springs Police Department and Edwardsville Police Department, deputy sheriff at Wyandotte County Sheriff's Office and Randolph County Sheriffs Office, and as a captain and patrol commander at the Mission Police Department. He has also been an active member of several law enforcement organizations, including FBINAA and ILEETA, and has presented at the international law enforcement education and trainer association conference in Chicago in 2008, 2011, and 2013.
