Larry Bettino
Larry Bettino is a veteran venture capitalist and private equity investor with over 35 years of experience investing in technology-based businesses. Over the years, he has invested more than $1 billion in private equity and venture capital transactions, focusing on software, cloud-based computing, data management, application development, social media, and mobility. Larry has also taken on key roles, including chairman and leading committees on compensation, governance, audit, and investment.
Larry is known for his functional expertise in business plan development, sales and marketing, pricing strategy, and business processes and workflow. He has an undergraduate degree in Electrical Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and an MBA from Harvard Business School. Currently, he is the chairman at Astia, where he plays an active role in mentoring and funding women-led startups.
Throughout his career, Larry has been a highly-involved and active board member of several dozen businesses ranging from start-up to multi-hundred million in revenue. His senior leadership roles have included Managing Director and Head of Technology and Telecom Investing at Warburg Pincus LLC, Partner and Co-Founder at Baker Capital, and Vice President and Partner at Dillon Read Venture Capital.
