Dr. Lem Taylor is an accomplished academic professional with 13 years of experience in higher education and research. He has worked extensively on various aspects of nutrition/supplementation and exercise interventions on both acute and chronic changes in body composition, metabolism, and performance. With over 130 publications in his field, including a book and multiple book chapters, Dr. Taylor is an expert in exercise physiology, sports nutrition, nutritional biochemistry, strength and conditioning, and muscle physiology.
Dr. Taylor has also held leadership positions in various organizations related to his field, including serving as the President of the International Society of Sports Nutrition from 2011-2014, President of the Texas Chapter of the American College of Sports Medicine, and board member or committee roles for ACSM, TACSM, ISSN, and NSCA. Currently, he serves as the Executive Director of the Texas Chapter of the American Society of Sports Nutrition (TACSM).
Along with his academic and research work, Dr. Taylor is an active consultant in the sport nutrition, supplementation, ingredient formulation, etc. arena serving in various roles including: writer, nutrition coach, analyst, research consultant, and speaking engagements.
