Tony Burkart is an experienced economic development professional with expertise in negotiation, tax credits and incentives, international business, public relations and government affairs. Burkart currently serves as Principal of Economic Development at Amazon Web Services, where he manages site selection and large multi-functional teams. With a Bachelor's degree in International Relations from Michigan State University, Burkart has built an impressive career in economic development. Prior to joining AWS, he worked at Lockheed Martin, where he managed a diverse portfolio of credits and incentives projects, site selection activities and public policy communications campaigns. He also worked at Enterprise Florida, where he held the position of Director of Business Development and focused on bringing high-wage jobs and capital investment to the state. As an active member of professional associations, he currently chairs the IPT Young Professionals Committee and serves on the IAMC international committee.
