Matt Fangman

Matt Fangman is an accomplished designer and design strategist who has spent the last decade leading design teams and practices for major corporations. With a BFA in Graphic Design from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, Matt has used his expertise to drive successful design initiatives for companies including Apple, IBM, Facebook, MetLife, Air Canada, and Etihad Airways. Currently, Matt holds the position of Senior Director for Design Thinking and Education at Genesys, where he is implementing an Empathy Experts-centered culture within the organization.

Matt has a passion for creating sustainable design cultures that drive positive change, noting that "good design awakens possibilities in people". Throughout his career, he has demonstrated a strong commitment to enhancing and refining design practices within organizations, not only improving the business but also impacting the world at large.

With a varied career spanning across multiple companies and roles, Matt's experience includes serving as Program Director for Design Adoption Framework and Design Practice Manager at IBM, Creative Director for Digital Design and User Experience at AT&T, and President and Advisory Board Member for AIGA Austin. Through his extensive professional network and collaborative approach, Matt has become a respected thought leader in the design industry.
