Shaghayegh Abbasi is an accomplished electrical engineer and assistant professor at the University of Portland. She received her B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering from Sharif University of Technology and continued her education at the University of Washington, where she earned her master's and Ph.D. degrees in Electrical Engineering.

Abbasi has worked on several research projects in collaboration with professors in various fields. Her projects include the optimization and modeling of a new manufacturing method, orchestrated structure evolution modeling, fluidic self-assembly, and droplet-based microfluidics. She has also worked on designing a multi-coil TMS system and designing an automated insulin injection system. Additionally, she has professional experience as the chief science and technology officer at QuantaEd and as a senior system design engineer at Lumedyne Technologies.

Throughout her career, Abbasi has been focused on finding creative solutions to complex problems through engineering. She has a passion for exploring the intersection of different fields and working collaboratively with experts in various domains.
