Sébastien Boillat

Sébastien Boillat is an Environmental Scientist and Geographer with a diverse background in sustainable natural resources management, agroecology, nature conservation, and environmental justice.
With extensive field experience in countries like Bolivia, Switzerland, Brazil, Canada, Cuba, Laos, Kenya, and Senegal, Sébastien has a deep understanding of land systems and political ecology.
He has held various roles including Executive Officer of the Global Land Programme, programme officer at the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation, and a visiting scholar at the University of Manitoba.
Currently, Sébastien conducts research and teaches at the Institute of Geography at the University of Bern in Switzerland, where he is contributing to the field of Human Geography.
His educational background includes a Doctor of Philosophy in Human Geography from the University of Bern and Master's degrees in Environmental Science from ETH Zurich.
